Subcutaneous Immunotherapy

Subcutaneous immunotherapy, or allergy shots, works by desensitizing your body to the allergens in your environment that are causing your symptoms. Desensitization involves administering repeated, small doses of the allergens. This is a year-round process, and your physician will work with you to determine which dosage is most effective.
